Screen Houses & Greenhouses
Engineering and construction of cost-effective, wind-resistant steel arched screen houses and plastic greenhouse tunnels tailored to tropical conditions.
Vera AgriTech Ltd builds sustainable, climate-resilient farming systems. We deploy low-cost screen houses, advanced hydroponics, and smart drip irrigation for year-round high-yield vegetable production.

Vera AgriTech Limited transforms traditional farming into a highly productive, climate-smart, and commercially viable enterprise.
We believe Africa's greatest agricultural challenge is not a lack of land or farmers, but limited access to innovation, technology, and profitable markets. Our mission is to strengthen food security and improve livelihoods across African cities.
We deploy localized screen houses and hydroponics to ensure year-round yields.
Growers receive training, disease-resistant seeds, and nutrient formulations.
We connect farm output to premium retail, consumer, and institutional markets.
In Nigeria, food production is limited by erratic seasonal rains, high pest vulnerability, post-harvest losses, and disconnected local supply channels that impact farmers' income.
By developing localized, high-durability steel arched screen houses, we eliminate crop risks and pesticide reliance, delivering 3x to 5x higher yields with 90% water efficiency.
We empower farmers, agribusinesses, and institutional investors to produce more with fewer resources while securing stable market demand through Vera Veg Stores.
We offer commercial crop production, structural engineering, high-end equipment supplies, and agricultural capacity training.

Dr. Nurudeen S. Lawal is an agripreneur and agricultural engineer on a mission to strengthen Africa's food systems. With expertise in irrigation engineering, soil and water conservation, and soilless crop nutrition, he founded Vera AgriTech to commercialise tropical-adapted screen houses and hydroponic systems. To date, the company and its partners have deployed over 125 systems across Nigeria, empowering cooperatives, graduates, and smallholder farmers.
A COREN-registered engineer with more than 20 years' experience, including managing World Bank-funded projects, Dr. Lawal holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the University of Ibadan. A regular speaker at international agribusiness forums, he remains committed to scaling sustainable agricultural infrastructure across developing economies.

| Farming Metric | Traditional Open-Field | Vera AgriTech Systems |
|---|---|---|
| Water Consumption | 100% (High wastage, run-off) | Save up to 90% (Recirculated drip) |
| Yield per Square Meter | Baseline (Seasonal dependencies) | 3x to 5x Higher (Vertical & NFT optimization) |
| Pest & Insect Protection | Low (Dependent on heavy chemical sprays) | 95% Protected (Screen netting & bio-security) |
| Climate Resilience | Vulnerable to droughts, floods & heatwaves | Year-Round Crop Growth (Climate control) |
| Substrate/Soil Degradation | High risk of soil exhaustion & erosion | Zero Soil Needed (Coco peat & hydroponic solution) |

Real feedback from active urban farmers and cooperatives deploying Vera AgriTech systems.
"Living in Abuja, I was deeply worried about food security and the safety of traditional farming due to rural banditry. Vera AgriTech's urban screen house model allowed me to start a thriving, pest-free tomato farm right in my backyard where I feel completely safe."
"The crop safety and traceability aspect has been a game-changer for my business. Thanks to Vera AgriTech's training, my high-end supermarket clients can scan a code and see exactly when and how my bell peppers were harvested. They pay a premium for that peace of mind!"
"As a retiree in Ibadan, I wanted a secure agribusiness investment. The Vera AgriTech triple security modelβespecially the guaranteed produce offtakeβeliminated all my market worries. I grow the crops, they handle the sales, and my retirement income is steady."
"I used to think greenhouse farming was too expensive, but Vera's affordable hydroponic setups and input supplies made it accessible. Producing clean, chemical-free leafy greens inside the city has turned my small urban plot into a highly profitable venture."
"Being part of a geographic farming cluster has given me immense support. We peer-guarantee each other, share experiences, and safely supply clean vegetables directly to urban centers without worrying about the dangerous rural supply chains."

Soilless farming involves growing crops using inert substrates (such as coco peat) and feeding them directly with water rich in soluble mineral nutrients. This prevents soil-borne diseases, conserves water, and allows farming in locations with degraded or unavailable soil, such as urban yards and rooftops.
Screen houses use UV-stabilized mesh netting to exclude insect pests while maintaining airflow. This reduces pest damage by over 90%, lowers insecticide application, shields crops from direct impact rain, and helps maintain a moderate micro-climate for high-value crop varieties.
